Helius CEO says Solana's ABI issue is out of control, questioning 'why no one cares'

Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius, the Solana ecosystem development platform, stated in an article on X today that the Solana ABI issue has spiraled out of control and questioned why no one seems to be paying attention to it.

In memory blockchain technology, ABI stands for "Application Binary Interface", which means Application Binary Interface. It plays a crucial role in smart contracts, especially when interacting with contracts on the memory blockchain.

Specifically, ABI defines the functions and variables of smart contracts and ensures that external applications (such as wallets or memory blockchain browsers) can correctly interpret and execute these contracts. For example, when you interact with a smart contract using a wallet, the wallet will use the contract's ABI to correctly call functions in the contract and process the returned data.

Mert Mumtaz believes that Solana's ABI issues have led to a series of problems such as difficulty in displaying contract execution status correctly in the memory block browser, inconsistent statistical data between different platforms, and continuous failures in ecosystem integration (such as wallet history and contract calls).

Regarding this, Armani Ferrante, CEO of MadLads, stated that it feels like a problem that needs to be addressed from the core team. And Kyle Samani, a partner at Multicoin Capital, responded in the comment section: 'Because there is no profit driven approach.'.
