OKX Ventures partner Jeff Ren was invited to attend the "Aptos Experience" event on September 5, 2024, and hosted a roundtable forum on the theme of "APAC's Investment Potential&Key Drivers for Adoption".

The roundtable forum brought together industry leaders including Aptos Labs CEO and co-founder Mo Shaik, Jambo founder James Zhang, and IRONGREY investment manager Vincent Park to discuss the growth and development of the Web 3.0 ecosystem in the Asia Pacific region.

The main highlights of this roundtable forum include:

1) The importance of strong infrastructure: Roundtable members, represented by popular blockchains such as Aptos, emphasized the evolution of Web 3.0 infrastructure. They pointed out in the discussion that strong infrastructure is crucial for the growth of the application layer, as exemplified by projects such as Jambo Phone and OKX Web3 Wallet.

2) Connecting Web2 and Web3: Jambo has innovatively launched a Web 3.0 phone priced at $99 for the Southeast Asian market. With convenient hardware and pre installed Web 3.0 applications, it has become an excellent example of bringing Web 2.0 users into the Web 3.0 ecosystem.

3) Developer engagement: Aptos Labs' strategy of actively interacting with young Korean developers, communities, and students has become a successful model for promoting regional innovation and technology applications.

4) The integration of AI and Web3: The roundtable discussed the potential synergies between AI and Web 3.0 technologies, emphasizing the necessity of decentralization and secure data access. The discussion also touched upon the potential of AI in content generation and considered relevant regulatory issues.

5) Regional Focus: IRONGREY's strategy of investing in infrastructure and application layers demonstrates the potential of the Asia Pacific region, and it is expected that more Web 3.0 innovations will emerge in the region in the future.
